Artist and illustrator Fabric Lenny, aka Paul Slater (that's me), makes distinctive and engaging illustrations, paintings, prints, drawings and objects with the help of magic pixies. I love to work collaboratively, and to date have collaborated with dancers, musicians, writers, photographers and other visual artists in the creation of interesting visual meanderings which are candy for the eye and musings for the soul.

My work is a direct response to things I see and experience, and also takes on influences from both popular culture and traditional painting. I utilise a variety of methods and approaches in the production of my imagery, ranging from drawing on cardboard to digital painting on mobile devices such as the iPad and IPhone, to broadcast quality animation.

Fabric Lenny paintings and prints are held in private collections both nationally and internationally and have been reproduced in various publications including Mac format Magazine, One Hundred published by Glasshouse Books and the soon to be released iPhone Art / iPad Art by David Scott Leibowitz, published by Manning Publications.

Recent exhibitions include Hippos in Leeds as part of the ilovewestleeds Festival, A Healing Touch in Washington DC, USA, The World at Our Fingertips in Wisconsin, USA and an installation of commissioned work at Cannon Hall Museum, South Yorkshire, UK.

I am based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire and am available to work on exciting and interesting commissions throughout the UK and beyond.

I am also a Creative Director of C Media Productions, an award winning media production company that specialises in creating exciting participative arts and media projects with children, young people and communities.
